Colonia del Sacramento

Colonia del Sacramento is located a the south west of Uruguay and it has an historic town that has been declared en recent years patrimony of humanity (1995) for it's Hispanic, Portuguese and colonial blend of cultures.

It's a beautiful town but the tourism has grown so much, that the town has become artificial and the life it once had has drained out to make room for boutiques, restaurants and hotels. Never the less it's still a must see spot in South america.
